How do I book?
Tours can be easily booked online. Click here to book today!

Do I have to purchase tickets in advance?
Advance purchase is required and tours may sell out quickly. To maximize your chances of getting the day and time you prefer, please book well in advance. Tickets can be purchased with a Visa, Mastercard, or American Express.

Are children allowed to come?
Yes, children are allowed to come. Anyone 2 years and younger can be a lap child and does not need a ticket. Anyone 3 years or older is required to have a ticket.

Is there a weight limit on the flight?
Yes, for safety reasons we do have a weight limit. We can accommodate a combined passenger weight of 1,200 pounds, not including the pilots. If you have a group over this limit, please contact us directly by clicking on the “Contact UtahAirways” link to the left of the page for more information.

How many people can fit in the plane?
Our plane can seat a total of 5 passengers plus 2 pilots.

Will other people besides my party be on the tour?
Yes there will be other people on the tour. If you would like a tour just for your party, please click on the “Contact UtahAirways” link to the left of the page.

How long does the flight last?
The whole experience lasts roughly 6½-7 hours, however the total flight time round trip is 2 hours, while the adventure on the ground is approximately 4½ hours.

What if it rains?
We fly weather permitting. In the event of inclement weather, we will reschedule your tour, making every attempt to do so at your convenience.

Can I receive a refund if I want to cancel my flight?
Tickets are non-refundable but can be rescheduled with at least 24 hours notice. There is an optional refund guarantee which can be selected at the time of purchase. If you purchase this, you can cancel your trip at the last minute and you will receive a refund for the full amount except the $99 per person refund fee.

How can I make this a surprise for my spouse, partner or friend?
Let us know at the time you book that you’d like this to be a surprise and we won’t give your secret away.

Is this safe?
Flying is inherently risky but we are authorized by the FAA to fly these types of flights so it is safe.

What type of plane will we be flying on?
Our fleet consists of the PA-31 Piper Navajo aircraft. The Piper Navajo has served as a commuter aircraft for years and it is one the best aircraft built by Piper. It can seat up to 5 passengers.

Where do we go? What exactly do we see on the tour?
We will begin our adventure in Salt Lake City. We fly south to multiple destinations for the day for an experience you won’t forget. You’ll get to experience your destination first from the air and then from the ground!

What do we do when we land?
Once you land you will have the opportunity to visit the destination chosen.

Will the tour be narrated?
The flight will be narrated and your pilot will point out sites of interest along the way. We also have iPads with headphones that narrate the flight. Once we land your tour guide will guide you through Arches National Park.

Are we required to wear headphones?
You are not required to wear headphones, but to fully enjoy the experience and listen to the pilot pointing out the landmarks you will want to wear them. It also helps in noise reduction from the engine. But if you and your special someone just want to cuddle up with each other, that’s fine too. No headset required.

How high do we fly?
This depends on the weather and winds that day but we always fly low enough for you to capture the scenery.

Can I take pictures and video?
Absolutely! Please share them with us after your flight!

What are the Photo and Video packages?
When purchasing your tickets for the flight, you will also have the option to select a photo, video, or combination photo and video package to document your adventure! The photographer will accompany you on the flight and during all of the optional activities you select in order to capture every fun-filled moment! These packages are for an additional cost and can be selected and added to your total when purchasing your tickets for the flight.

What should I wear?
You should wear comfortable outdoor adventure clothing and flat soled shoes. A light sweater may be desired in winter.

Are there restrooms on the plane?
No, there aren’t any restrooms on the plane but there will be restrooms once we land at the canyon.

Is there a place to store my belongings?
Participants are welcome to bring a purse or small bag with them on the aircraft. You can leave any bags you bring in the back of the aircraft in our luggage compartments.

Can we bring food and drinks?
Water and snacks are provided for you. You can bring food and drinks but we don’t recommend bringing any food due to the heat and you won’t be allowed to eat on the plane. There will be places to purchase food and drinks once we land at the canyon.

Can I bring alcoholic beverages?
Personal alcoholic beverages are not allowed on the aircraft.

Are we required to wear seat belts?
Yes, all passengers will be required to wear a seat belt for the duration of the flight.

Do I need to sign a waiver?
yes, all participants will be required to sign a liability waiver. Anyone under the age of 18 must have an adult sign on their behalf.

Do I have to climb over the wing to get in the airplane?
No. You will walk up to the plane and step in from the ground, just like getting in your car.

Are the planes wheelchair accessible?
No, our planes are not wheelchair accessible.

Is this tour suitable for pregnant women? What if I’m prone to motion sickness?
We do not recommend pregnant women or those who are prone to motion sickness participate in a flying tour.

Where does the flight depart from? Where does the tour land?
The flight will depart and end at the Ogden Hinckley Airport in Salt Lake City. You will receive more detailed directions upon purchase.

Is there free parking available?
Yes, there is free parking available near the departure point. You will receive more information upon purchase.

Do you have a license to do this?
Yes. We are authorized by the FAA to fly these types of flights – not everyone is – and in obtaining and holding that authorization, we subject our aircraft to inspection by the FAA and ourselves to random DOT / FAA Drug and Alcohol tests.

Can I fly the plane?
No, you are not allowed to fly the plane at any point during the tour and no passenger is allowed in the cockpit.

Is gratuity included in the price?
No, tips for the crew are not included in the price. Although not required, gratuity is always appreciated.

Are gift certificates available for this tour?
Yes, gift certificates are available for this tour! Please contact us directly by clicking on the “Contact UtahAirways” link to the left of the page to inquire about purchasing a gift certificate.

Can I customize my own flight route?
You can, but not on this flight. Let us know where you want to go and what you want to see by clicking on the “Contact UtahAirways” link to the left of the page and we will give you best times and rates.
